The HCN-6800 NEO received numerous upgrades that take the previous generation's performance to a new level of efficiency and ease-of-use. The standard spindle, table, and magazine have all received significant improvements, including an upgraded, new standard 43-tool drum-type magazine that reduces tool exchange times. A redesigned ATC door is now servo-driven and faster; the new design will now also accommodate a longer tool. Likewise, for ease of maintenance, the machine incorporates hydraulic/motorized pallet changer mechanisms and an easier-to-access maintenance panel.

The machines within the i-H Series sport new, ergonomic enclosures with compact footprints that require less floor space. In addition, Mazak equipped the machines with faster and more powerful turning spindles, space-saving milling spindles and a new parallel-type lower turret with optional live tooling capabilities. The company also expanded tool capacities for lower turrets and for tool storage magazines along with offering a wider range of chuck size options.

Among the primary enhancements on the VARIAXIS i-800 NEO is the MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC. It features such functions as SMOOTH Machining Configuration (SMC) for process optimization with real-time operator control of a wide range of cutting parameters and Ai Thermal Shield for stable machining accuracy through smart compensation for heat displacement. Also with the launch of the MAZATROL SmoothAi, Mazak introduced its SMOOTH Project Manager Gateway software as an available option.

Weighing 14,550 pounds (lbs), the MH 320A packs powerful features in a small package, maximizing productivity and utilizing every inch of floor space. The work envelope measures 16.9"/430 mm in diameter by 18.7"/457 mm in height, and can handle workloads of up to 551 lbs/250 kilograms. This extensive work area enables users to process a diverse range of parts.

Mitsubishi and Absolute jointly designed the plug-and-play cell. It consists of a Mitsubishi industrial robot, a wheeled stainless steel base, a clear polycarbonate cell enclosure featuring a safety door with an interlock switch, and a side table extension. The cell accommodates Mitsubishi 6-axis RV-series robots ranging in load capacity from 7 kg to 20 kg and reach up to 1,388mm. Integrating the robot cell with a CNC machine is a one-step process using a single Ethernet cable, Mitsubishi's Direct Robot Control function and the Mitsubishi M8 series control. The LoadMate Plus can also interface with other control types via remote I/O connectivity.

Dental tool grinding on the 5-axis GrindSmart Nano5 grinding machine offers exceptional flexibility in comparison to conventional single-purpose grinders. With its 5 fully interpo­lating CNC axes and a pick-and-place automatic tool loader, the machine can easily be adapted for any type of dental cutting instrument, both for short and long runs. n

The MarForm MMQ 500 is designed for speed. Its Z-axis vertical column allows movements with up to 100 mm/s—more than three times faster than conventional form measuring devices—for minimized cycle times. The newly developed automatic CNC centering and tilting table is a key factor in speeding up the total cycle time as it enables faster alignment than comparable models, thus increasing efficiency and productivity up to 75% faster than the market standard. This new centering and tilting table also features a high load-bearing capacity to enable the measurement of heavy workpieces, up to a mass of 80 kg (176 lbs.)n

The family of vises is ideal for applications requiring multiple vises to be mounted parallel to each other. Versatile, the vises can be mounted on their base or bottom or vertically positioned on their end. The vises are equipped with Palmgren's Dual Force so as to deliver workholding efficiencies by providing the strength and rigidity to hold parts securely and accurately.

NUMai software can be utilized as soon as a machine tool has been commissioned and is ready to start production, or on a machine that is already being employed for production purposes. The software initially acquires all pertinent operating data over a period of time, typically a number of hours, while the machine is being used for normal production tasks. Ideally, a diversity of part programs is run, involving a variety of different machining conditions, in order to ensure that the data is as comprehensive and reliable as possible.

The ANGLED ROUND TOOLHOLDERS position the insert at 30°, 45° or 60° angles for reliefs, undercuts and angled OD and face grooves. Round shank sizes are available in diameters of 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", 20 mm and 25 mm. The ANGLED ROUND TOOLHOLDERS are for use with THINBIT® inserts in grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

The new version of the machine offers a more flexible and therefore more precise machining process. The BA W06 features variable spindle distance of 590.00 mm – 651.00 mm. Travel in the Y- and Z- axes 630 mm and 510 mm, respectively. The independent Z-axis enables machining coupled with compensation value. Fine adjustment of the spindle height is possible in the Y-axis with position correction. Straightness has been improved in the Z-axis due to increased guide ratio. There is also now higher positioning accuracy (Tp = 0.006 mm) in the in the X-, Y-, and Z-axes (verified by ISO 230-2) available.

It is suitable for coating and repairing components up to 500 mm in size, for cylindrical components up to a meter long and for the near-net-shape production of semi-finished products. The AM Cube can be provided with up to 3 deposition heads with patented, hardwired energy, material and data supply. Max. workpiece dimensions are: 3-axis: 1,000 x 400 x 500 mm; 4-axis: Ø 300 x 1,000 mm; and 5-axis: Ø 500 x 500 mm.n
