In its continuing effort to help manufacturers leverage Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs, Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. introduces an MTConnect adapter to facilitate shop floor monitoring. MTConnect is an open standard that allows the sharing of a common language between machines and other electrical equipment from various manufacturers.

The new SORALUCE PXG-W was presented at the company's production plant from Jan. 30 to 3 Feb. 3. In the course of the week, numerous customers were able to visit the assembly and testing facilities and technology center to see at first hand the technical characteristics of the machine and the advantages and benefits that it can bring them.

During the 2017 #GraingerShow, Grainger announced the addition of a cutting tool reconditioning service to its metalworking solutions and its strategic relationship with US Tool to provide that service. FANUC America has developed a new machining simulator that encompasses the complete manufacturing process from part design and engineering to CNC programming to virtual production simulation. The FANUC Machining Simulator features Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD/CAM/CAE software and a custom machining simulation program designed by ModuleWorks.

German Machine Tools of America (GMTA) offers a full line of Rasoma machining centers, including vertical turning centers, 4-axis shaft turning centers, end machining centers, double-spindle and various special-purpose machining centers with full automation is offered.
