MecSoft Corp. has announced the availability of Visual CAD/CAM 2017, the latest version of its flagship standalone CNC programming software.

Versatile, productive and reliable, the UNE 12-2 compact gundrilling system brings new levels of increased manufacturing capacity to a variety of industries, including automotive, medical and firearms. Whereas a shop may perform deep-hole drilling on Swiss automatic machine tools, a dedicated deep-hole drilling solution, such as the highly engineered UNE 12-2, significantly reduces lead times and provides a higher degree of accuracy and precision.

Mitutoyo announces the release of the RA-6000CNC, a custom-built CNC roundness/cylindricity measuring system with best-in-class accuracy. The RA-6000CNC is designed to measure large-size, heavy, cylindrical workpieces generally associated with automotive, energy, marine and aviation industries.

The 2017 release of Radan, a sheet-metal solution by Vero Software, delivers time-saving enhancements and paves the way the most significant new developments in the solution's history. BLM Group USA has announced the introduction of the CM602 automatic CNC sawing machine. The CM602 can handle tube and bar up to 4 in. in diameter, depending on the material, and can achieve blade speeds up to 5,000 rpm. It is ideal for cutting short and medium length steel, copper, brass and aluminum tubes, as well as solid bars and custom profiles.

The SBS External Balancer system from Schmitt Industries Inc. is elegantly simple; a computer control, sensor, spindle mounting adaptor, and balance head. It is designed as an inexpensive, permanent installation on grinding machines. It takes the magic out of wheel balancing.

Geometric Americas Inc. released CAMWorks 2017 with significant additions to the software focusing on customer needs and worldwide manufacturing initiatives, such as Smart Manufacturing and Industrie 4.0. The new capabilities in CAMWorks 2017 are a result of more than 60 customer-driven enhancements.

The gripping force provided by the workholding and chucking solution is paramount to successfully machining high quality parts. Kurt's DoveLock dovetail vises are ideal for clamping strength and specifically designed for allowing access to five sides of the workpiece in 5-axis, 4th-axis and palletized CNC machining systems. DoveLock vise is available in two sizes: a 1-inch jaw width DTR10 model and 2-inch jaw width DTR20 model.
