Packed with versatility, one High Feed SP tool handles a complete range of high feed milling operations and materials. The tool optimizes such operations as copy milling, ramping, pocketing, face milling and plunging to further reduce tooling inventories. Users optimize milling performance while eliminating the need to switch among numerous tools to implement various machining strategies and part materials.

Beyond shoulder and face milling, the end mills can also be used for pocket milling, helical interpolation, ramping and slot milling. The CoroMill 316 is part of the Sandvik Coromant Optimized Solutions offering in the company's solid round tools range.

Column construction uses stress relieved, class 40 cast iron, with the base and sides milled flat, perpendicular, and parallel within .001"/ft. providing an accurate foundation on which to setup workholding devices or quick-change systems. What does this spec translate to for customer use?

GN 742.5 Fluid/Fill Drain Plugs, GN 738.5 magnetic plugs and GN 7440 fluid sight glasses are made of AISI 316L (A4) stainless steel. Winco offers the premium sight glass in standard sizes from M16 to M42 and G⅜ to G1¼. Other thread diameters are available on request.

The TD 110 tool breakage sensor can be placed in the work envelope so that it is fast and easy to reach during the tool change. The inductive sensor can detect tools as they pass by while they are spinning at their operational speed.

CoroTurn Prime B-type inserts are available for external and internal turning in a range of high-performing grades, including the new steel turning grades GC4415 and GC4425. Programming support is available in the most common CAM platforms and with CoroPlus Tool Path for PrimeTurning.

Norton for Aluminum wheels have a range of features and benefits including a 5/8"- 11" hub for quick, tool-free wheel changes. Helping to keep metal surfaces clean for defect-free, corrosion-free welding, the new wheels have a contaminate-free bond which does not need any waxes or lubricants.

The system handles axial grooves from dia. 2.362-in (60 mm), cutting depths up to 1.299-in (33 mm), with insert width of 0.197-in (5 mm). The new system delivers maximum productivity and cutting parameters due to optimal cooling, strength and controlled chip breaking, along with high cost-efficiency due to two cutting edges.

Based on a technology platform similar to the existing CoroMill® 345, this new milling concept offers a 40 percent lighter cutter body with shim protection and a high number of inserts for secure and stable machining, even in vibration-prone overhang applications.

As the world's smallest digital fine boring tool with a peripheral cutting edge, the unbalanced 420 (410) series has a diameter range of 0.787 inches – 1.142 inches (20.00 millimeters – 29.00 millimeters). The 465 (464) boring heads offer automatic self-balancing and bore diameters from 1.142 inches – 8.071 inches (29.00 millimeters – 205.00 millimeters).

What makes the CoroMill Dura stand out compared to the former versatile concept and competitor end mills is its WhisperKut technology. The CoroMill Dura is available from two to seven flutes with 1-4×D cutting length, with and without a chip divider. The end mills can be reconditioned up to three times to original specifications.

The system comes with a choice of two different touch probes. The UWP45 is a 45mm diameter touch probe ideal for multi-axis machining centers and compatible with the Marposs T25, TT25, TT30 and T25P probe ranges. The UWP60 is a 60mm diameter touch probe that is suited for use on large scale workstations and vertical lathes.
