With the new SonoPower 3S megasound system with frequencies of 500 and 1,000 kHz, Weber Ultrasonics has developed an efficient solution for cleaning sensitive components. BLM Group USA has announced the enhancement of its E-Form tube end forming machine with a fully CNC electric rolling device providing maximum precision and repeatability in part production. The punches of the E-Form reach up to 10 tons of force, molding tubes up to 30mm in diameter of various materials such as copper. aluminum, iron or stainless steel.

A fully integrated on-board cutter resharpening unit is now available for Gleason vertical Power Skiving machines, allowing for the completely automated resharpening of cutters used in the production of both soft and hardened gears up to 600 mm in workpiece diameter.

With rapid traverse speeds up to 2,362 ipm (60 m/min.) in all axes and acceleration of 1.2 g, the Tongtai VTX series of drilling and tapping centers are fast, affordable machines for high-precision, high-volume applications. For jet engine and power generation turbine blades up to 1.4 meters in length, the Liechti Turbomill 1400 g from GF Machining Solutions produces high-quality finished part surfaces that require minimal polishing and less benchwork than those processed on general-application machines. To provide fast, cost-efficient production, the Turbomill 1400 g clamps blades at each end and rotates them between centers for heavy-duty roughing and dynamic finishing of complex airfoil contours, root forms and shrouds.

Methods Machine Tools Inc. has introduced the compact high-precision Nakamura-Tome MX-100 multitasking turning center, offering high productivity milling and turning for a wide array of part manufacture, including medical. A rigid construction, as well as advanced software, smart features and a 96-tool capacity, provide exceptional accuracy and productivity.
