What we don't see when turning HTA at a microscopic level is that a heat pocket is being created between the cutting edge and the chip being formed. This heat pocket is preventing coolant from targeting the cutting edge. What HPC does is break through the heat pocket and get coolant to where it needs to be.

The 180°-point angle makes the DC118 Supreme ideal for plunging into inclined or round surfaces because the drill is guided quickly on the margins and centered accurately. At the same time, burr formation remains extremely low. The protective corner chamfer on the cutting edges protects against rapid wear, which significantly increases tool life compared to drills without a protective chamfer.

The series is now introducing TCS18 and TCL18 inserts designed for left-hand cuts, expanding the product lines that, up to now, has offered right-hand inserts only. Grooving and parting tools commonly used in most of the operations performed in conventional CNC lathes and Swiss machines are right-handed.

The consolidated range of enclosure parts includes a wide variety of locks, latches, and catches to suit all requirements. DrillMeister drill sleeves are available in 16, 25, and 32 millimeters in diameters for metric sizes and 3/4 inches and one inch for imperial sizes that fit the drill holders of the same sizes equipped in Swiss lathes. All drill sleeves have a threaded connecting port on the sleeve end for easy coolant hose connection.
