Carmex Precision Tools Ltd. has made four additions to its family of tools for Swiss-style machining applications, including the multifunction G6 six-edge turning insert designed to fit a single holder and capable of high productivity in applications, including threading, grooving, parting, and back and front turning.

Tungaloy is expanding its DoTwistBall line of copy milling cutters to include additional diameters of shell mills. DoTwistBall is designed to ensure maximum machining reliability during complex 3D milling processes.

'A blade that is not broken in will likely only last about an hour. A properly broke-in blade should last 100 to 150 hours.'

Scientific Cutting Tools has expanded the Single Point Thread Mill (SPTM) line with new sizes and lengths. The additional sizes include #5 and 7/16 for UN standards as well as larger M3 and M11 sizes for metric. The new extra long (XL) lengths were created for deeper threads.
