Methods Machine Tools Inc. has introduced the compact high-precision Nakamura-Tome MX-100 multitasking turning center, offering high productivity milling and turning for a wide array of part manufacture, including medical. A rigid construction, as well as advanced software, smart features and a 96-tool capacity, provide exceptional accuracy and productivity. The new machine tool is equipped with a powerful 15-hp upper tool spindle with 20,000 rpm and turning capability. A 8,000-rpm milling turret offers 12 tool stations with 24 indexing positions.

Now equipped with the fast and powerful Mazatrol SmoothX CNC is the Mazak VTC-800G-30S vertical traveling column machine.

Mazak Corp.'s family of hybrid multitask machining centers includes the VTC-300C FSW, which combines advanced milling capabilities with friction stir welding (FSW) technology. The versatile Variaxis i-800 machining center uses full, simultaneous 5-axis capabilities to perform multiple and complex curved-surface machining on large, heavy workpieces in single setups. The Variaxis i-800 reduces production lead times, improves machining accuracy and lowers operating expenses. Furthermore, it can tackle a wide range of applications, from heavy-duty cutting to high-speed cutting of aluminum and other nonferrous materials.

Mazak Corp. offers the SQR-250 turning center for the fast, accurate production of long shaft or chucked workpieces. The machine features a powerful single spindle with two 45-degree opposed-wedge style turrets that cut simultaneously to slash cycle times and provide balanced cutting.

Mazak Corp.'s Quick Turn 550MY CNC turning center with multitasking combines advanced technology, productivity and value to deliver exceptional performance for shops large and small. As an MY configuration machine, the Quick Turn 550MY features milling capabilities and Y-axis functionality along with a standard through-hole chuck package to process a wide range of medium or larger-diameter parts in single setups.
