Toolholders & Workholding

CNC collet chucks and collets are an alternative to pneumatic or hydraulic workholding devices and are well-suited for high production runs. Standard shapes such as round, square and hexes can be held accurately and quickly compared to a three or four jaw chuck.

DX8, DX6 and DX4 vises were designed using Finite Element Analysis—providing 30% less horizontal push-back deflection than previous DX models. Less vise-body deflection translates to more stability and a lifetime of dimensional precision—setting a new standard in precision flatness, parallelism and repeatability. The DX8 CrossOver® vise features the same bed height and keyway to the stationary jaw face as the D810. The DX8 also features a redesigned nut with less weight, a new brush seal design, and a larger stronger bearing pack for more durability.

The ANCA Insert Solution, based on the MX tool grinding machine platform, offers work-holding, automation and supporting tool programming software to produce a diverse range of rotary endmill and drill inserts. Inserts that feature common locating datums and clamping features are an ideal fit for the ANCA Insert Solution.

Before today, the only way to take advantage of modular fixturing's versatility, accuracy and productivitywas to use a larger number of smaller components.

With its ergonomic slim outer profile for easy and comfortable actuation, the TENDO Platinum V2 is specifically designed for direct clamping the tool. They are ideal for high-speed machining, as well as precision boring, tapping, drilling, and finishing across virtually all industrial markets. In addition to brass, Dillon Full Grip Pie Jaws are available in 6061 aluminum, 1018 steel and cast iron. n

Flex Locator System consists of tapered pins and receiving bushings. In combination, these parts are designed to be mounted on fixture bases and plates to allow for highly accurate locating and positioning with repeatability of 0.01 mm. Fastener-receptacle pairs replace nut-and-bolt assembly so that operators swap out fixture plates and other automation components without the use of tools and with excellent repeatability.n

Two of the three new vises are engineered to use with Jergens Quick-Loc™ pallet system and include industry standard patterns 52mm and 96mm. With a single drive screw, Quick-Loc™ provides fast and repeatable fixture changes for small tooling platforms. A square aluminum adapter base provides the connection to either of the two patterns. The third vise features a Quick Locating System (QLS) mount, for column-mounting possibilities, and a corresponding round adapter base for this type of workholding.

The Model SDF57 assembly has an outside diameter of 2.83" and allows users of 3" face mills to access up to 19.68" of reach, the longest tool assembly in the industry using standard components. Face milling components used in construction equipment, aerospace and oil/gas industries will see the most opportunity for this new tool holder with vibration dampening, where long reaches are common.

The ROTA THW3 chuck with quick-change jaws has been completely redesigned to fit into today's modern machine tool technology. Today's machines allow multiple features for today's manufacturing. For example, quick change tooling, large tool storage, multi spindles, and modular machine controls, to name a few. This technology creates a better experience for the customer by allowing for faster throughput, flexibility, and accuracy. The standard chuck that typically come with these machines are not up to the task with today's machine tool technologies and part demands. Available in stock from size 200-630mm.

Four types of clamps are available with the locking mechanism including Vertical Handle, Horizontal Handle, Pull (Latch) Style and Push (Straight Line) Style toggle clamps. The added feature ensures that the toggle clamp will remain in the closed / hold down position for maximum security in workholding applications. Additionally, it also ensures that the clamps remain in the unclamped / open position to facilitate part change and operator convenience.

The core of the machine is the 40° inclined bed. Designed as an extremely rigid and compact welded steel construction, it is the basis for a robust and precise lathe. Reinforcements provide additional rigidity in zones exposed to higher stress. As a further development of the MAXXTURN 65 G1, the machine impresses with its modern and innovative design. The optimised integration of the chip conveyor ensures compact dimensions. Instead of belt drives, spindle motors are used on the main and counter spindles, which ensures a particularly wide speed range of up to 5000 rpm and extremely good concentricity properties.
