Kurt DoveLock master jaws are designed to be installed in replacement of standard cap screw jaws and create a quick-change capability. Once the DoveLock master jaws are installed into the vise they perform as a receiver for the replaceable jaws and are installed or removed by loosening three quick clamps in the top of each master jaw.

Fixtureworks has introduced its new lineup of ring-handle detent pins in steel and stainless steel. Detent pins provide a secure, quick, easy and positive engagement for fastening, locating and alignment applications. They are ideal for applications that require frequent, repetitive use.

Dillon Manufacturing full-grip pie jaws made of 1018 CR steel are now available in diameters from 6 to 15 inches, with heights of 2, 4 and 6 inches. Constructed of 1018 CRS, these heat-treatable and weldable steel jaws allow for complete gripping of the workpiece to maintain accuracy.

Following last year's launch of PrimeTurning methodology and tools for external turning operations, Sandvik Coromant is introducing a dedicated CoroTurn Prime SL head that makes this process available for internal turning operations. The new SL head will meet the needs of oil and gas, aerospace and other manufacturers that machine diameters in excess of 90 mm (3.5 inches) and overhangs up to 8–10×D.

Kurt's new line of motorized air vises utilize air-powered motors to provide consistent preset clamping force and programmable vise opening if desired. These vises are suitable for automated, robotized cells and applications requiring consistent clamping not easily attained by manual operation.

The Spike sensory toolholder is a wireless force sensor used for tool monitoring. During the machining process (e.g drilling or milling), it can measure the generated force and torque directly at the toolholder. The occuring data will be transmitted wirelessly to the receiver and the tool measurement software.

Floating clamps from Carr Lane Mfg. Co. are position-flexible swing clamps with 110° rotation that both clamp and support the workpiece. Suitable for aerospace machining, floating clamps are especially useful for clamping forgings, ribbed or flanged castings, and other larger parts.

Fixtureworks offers the Kurt DX6 vise with TG GripSert jaws and gripper inserts to its lineup. With a clamping capacity of up to 9 in., the Kurt DX6 CrossOver vise, the latest of Kurt D-series vises, provides improved bearing pack, all-directional alignment and a reduction in jaw lift.

EXSYS Tool Inc. has expanded its line of PRECI-FLEX modular tooling systems to include a 10,000-rpm, 1:1 ratio rotary tool for Mazak QUICK TURN and QTU series turning centers. The faster toolholders effectively match the processing speed of optional 10,000-rpm machine spindles to boost productivity and impart fine surface finishes.
