Mate Precision Technologies, a leading provider of innovative workholding solutions, has introduced a series of new enhancements for its 52/96 zero point workholding system.

With the ability to rapidly dial in runout with complete control, users spend less time tapping on the side of the tool and resetting tools and collets. Overall efficiency is increased, machining costs are lowered, and scrap is reduced with easyZERO.

Walter expanded the TC630 Supreme product range to include UNJC4 to UNJC9/16, UNJF4 to UNJF9/16 and MJ3 to MJ10 thread sizes. Optional internal coolant is available for thread sizes starting from MJ4, UNJF8 and UNJC8 to provide effective chip removal on deep threads.

Chuck-diameter-specific versions, and adjustable boring rings are available from 6-18-inches in diameter. Both styles feature no-tools attachment. Dillon jaw forming rings are a high-quality product which will ensure years of quick, stress-free set-ups when paired with Dillon jaws.

The body of the hex head style (CTH) is made from a Grade 8 fastener (metric 10.9) steel with a black oxide finish. The round head type (AG) is made from heat-treated alloy steel with black oxide finish.

Toolholder advances can have a big impact on machining results.

The bench lathe meets the requirements of prototype shops, home machinists, jewelry manufacturing, tool rooms and fabrication and maintenance shops which need to turn small metal parts. Standard on the bench lathe are: 3-jaw lathe chuck, safety chuck and tool post guards, 4-way tool post, centers, chip tray and precision thrust and ball bearings in the head stock.

Two tip types of the QCPSS are available: A flat tip that helps minimize damage to an object, and a diamond-surface tip that provides high holding force. Both versions provide 247 lb. clamping force. The clamp body is made from 303 stainless steel. The handle is made from 304 stainless steel.

Because of its tool size capability, the PG48 holders require the use of a brand-new press-fit assembly unit called the PGS 48. The PGS 48 is an automatic hydraulic press that generates up to 15 tons of force to press and remove collets from the holders and is a single-series machine designed only for PG48.

The flat clamping fastener, with machining spacing tolerance of ±0.1 and repeatability of ±0.3, is made to pair with a locking receptacle, which is available separately. Plate thickness of 6 mm or more can be used with the fastener and receptacle. A clamping and holding force as high as 6.7 lb. (30N) can be achieved.
