Toshiba America Information Systems' (TAIS) Imaging Systems Division introduces a small, digital video borescope with illumination, the SV-1000. The small, water-resistant chip-on-tip inspection camera measures only 1.6 mm diam. and features an integrated LED light for illumination within the 1.9-meter flexible shaft.

Sunnen's SVL-2115 automated lapping machine brings increased productivity and part consistency to what is traditionally a manual process. Based on the same proven SV-2115 honing system, the SVL-2115 provides single setup processing of hydraulic valves, sleeves, fuel system components and other parts that are prone to distortion when honed. The patented system control is designed for unattended operation and automatically laps and air gage bores throughout the cycle. Gage readings are fed back to the control and the cycle is repeated until the parts are within specifications.

ANCA second-generation PremierPlus technology ensures consistent and efficient tool runout. With three times greater clamping force, tools are held more securely when grinding, increasing the consistency of tool geometry across a batch of tools. As the clamping force is increased it means more force is required to open the collet. This is enabled by a hydraulic pressure intensifier unit at the rear of the PremierPlus Adaptor used for this purpose.
