Machining ports made simple
Using multiple tools for an application can often slow you down, but with indexable port-cutting drills, machining ports can be much simpler.
Ultrafine filtration and air conditioning tech optimally combined
In the manufacture of cutting tools for metalworking, the dovetailing of climate and environmental protection with production profitability is becoming increasingly important.
Sandvik manager to present at Women in Manufacturing Summit
Addressing ways women professionals can overcome obstacles in male-dominated industries, Aisha Mills-Hendrix, regional sales manager, Sandvik Coromant, will present at the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) SUMMIT 2023.
Koma Precision appoints regional sales manager
Koma Precision, Inc., East Windsor, Conn., has appointed Josh Kent as its regional sales manager for the Central Mid-West.
Renishaw offers technical solutions at Haas technical conference
At the Haas Technical Education Community conference opening on July 24, Gold sponsor Renishaw will present and demonstrate its calibration, probing, and Equator gauging solutions.
GN3971 and GN3975 Angular Gear Boxes
The bevel gear box GN 3971 is available in seven sizes with housing lengths between 1.26 and 2.36 in (32 and 60 mm) and widths between 0.71 and 1.38 in (18 and 35 mm). The gear ratio between the gear box shafts is always 1. Thanks to small center distances, the worm gear reducer GN 3975 measures only 2.36 in (60 mm) on the sides and only 1.38 in (35 mm) in width. An internal hardened steel screw moves a worm gear made of special brass.
DC180 Supreme
When compared to competing drills, the DC180 Supreme has a tool life that is about 50% longer. An additional benefit for the DC180 drill is universal application at the highest cutting speeds. The drill is suitable for high production volume applications with a large number of holes, such as in the automotive industry. Other areas of use include the aerospace and energy industries, mold and die making, and general mechanical engineering.
Seco propelled by smart software and actionable intelligence
Smart software is paving the way to optimized production and improved decision-making. Digital technology and smart software have already transformed the machining industry with unprecedented access to actionable data for better results in less time.
DX200 Grade
DX200 directly binds the diamond particles without using binder materials. This allows the grade to have an extremely pure cutting edge, making it an extremely effective tool for machining application-specific components that demand high levels of material purity, such as metal medical implants and sputtering targets for semiconductor applications.
Ceratizit adds engineer to Texas-based team
Ceratizit has announced that Daniel Campos has joined the company as a Texas-based technical sales engineer, bringing deep knowledge of machining and manufacturing to Ceratizit customers.
Cera-Cut End Mills
Cera-Cut End Mills are designed for the consistent cutting of high-temperature resistant materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy, and Nimonic as well as the machining of hardened tool steels. Cera-Cut is also suitable for making interrupted cuts, and offers a tight cutting diameter tolerance ranging from -0.0008" to -0.0016" (-20 to -40 microns), depending on the tool diameter.
Machine Tending Solutions
Through flexible connectivity via Ethernet and easy programming through the Direct Robot Control (DRC) feature of Mitsubishi Electric´s M8 Series, machine tending can benefit customers that may not have experienced robot programmers available. In addition to DRC, almost any CNC machine can be connected to a shop floor via discrete I/O for non-M8 CNC controls from Mitsubishi Electric and other companies. Further support is available through Mitsubishi Electric trained engineers to service both robot and CNC. Additionally, Mitsubishi Electric Automation offers a 5-year robot maintenance and warranty program.
