Hazardous Location Connectors
Mencom Hazardous Location Connectors series is designed to meet stringent electrical requirements for protection under Class I Division 2 environments and certified by Underwriters' Laboratories (UL). 'Class I' is defined as a hazardous location in which flammable gas or vapor may be present in sufficient quantities to be considered ignitable or explosive. 'Division 2' is defined as an area that is not likely to contain dangerous concentrations of flammable substances in closed containers. Common Class I Division 2 hazardous locations include refineries, utility gas plants, coal mines, and liquid-gas storage facilities.
Artec Leo
Building on the scanner's advanced color-capture capabilities, the 2022 Leo has algorithms to automatically adjust the brightness level when scanning, providing true-to-life evenly lit color 3D models without the need for manual correction. The new texture optimization algorithm has reduced the size of the texture by 2x, making it faster to process and load data for creating 3D color models.
ANCA’s new video academy
ANCA recently launched "The ANCA Academy," a series of videos that cover a different technical topic each month. The second video in the series is called "Machine Basics: Starting Up Your Machine Before Grinding."
348 Inserts
348 inserts added to stainless steel turning grade series of AH6225, AH6235, and T6215. AH6225 is a first-choice grade designed to provide excellent machining performance in general stainless steel turning operations, extending from continuous to light interrupted cuts. AH6235 is another PVD-coated grade that boasts exceptional fracture resistance. T6215 is a latest CVD-coated grade, designed to ensure superior cutting performance during high speed, continuous cuts of stainless steel.
FX5 Upgrade
The FX5, with the new 12kW spindle delivers increased productivity up to a diameter of 10mm. At 19kW, the new high-powered spindle option can enhance productivity further for tools up to 12mm and above. The high-powered spindle option on FX5 matches the grinding spindle fitted to the FX7 machine with 6-wheel packs, suited for a more industrial environment.
Z-Mag DTM Portable CNC Drill and Tap Machine
The unit accommodates different height applications with an available 13 inches of stroke, 1,300 lbf. of thrust and spindle speeds of up to 3,000. Using an HSK style spindle adapter, operators can use a variety of HSK tool holders. The sturdy cast iron frame, linear rail system, and precision ball-screw feed system provide a solid foundation for any application, from light roughing to finishing.
HEIDENHAIN Education Support Program (HESP)
HEIDENHAIN's programming stations are based on the same software foundation as its CNC controls, thus making them ideal vocational training tools to give students the confidence they need to program in the manufacturing world. HESP's learning materials include practical course supplies for explaining complex topics, as well support posters for the classroom.
Eriez names VP of international operations
Eriez named Eric Nelson as vice president-international operations and business development.
90 Degree Adapter
The adapter is made of 304 stainless steel and measures 1.498" X 1.825" X 3.188" (38.049mm x 46.355mm x 80.975mm) overall length. The adapter is turned on a Yama Seiki turning center and finished machining on a Bridgeport manual milling machine.
WT500/1000 Series
This system is capable of transporting wire gauges from 1 to 20 and tube sizes from Ø 0.250 mm to Ø 12.7 mm. The WT500/1000 provides quick setups for part changeovers with a belt-driven automatic diameter adjustment transport. Laser selections include nano, pico, and femtosecond UV and NIR sources as well as mechanical spindle drilling assemblies with upwards of 80kRPM of speed for precision quality hole formation.
FlexFiltration
FlexFiltration systems efficiently remove fine chips and grinding sludge to achieve coolant clarity down to 10 microns or less. They are especially well suited for challenging applications involving materials ranging from cast iron, steel and aluminum to composites and plastics.
High productivity and perfect chip breaking
Every steel machining operation poses some challenges so it's a good thing that Tiger·tec® Gold can handle almost any challenge involved in turning. The secret is the specialized design of the individual grades.
