Rainbow Robotics displaying 10 robotic platforms at IMTS 2024
Rainbow Robotics' CEO Jungho Lee announced Sept. 5 that the company would attend IMTS 2024, the world's largest machine tool exhibition being held for six days from September 9 to 14 in Chicago.
Mollart Machinery moving production and support to U.S.
Mollart Machinery's production operations and field service support, previously based in Chessington, United Kingdom, will be based out of Bourn & Koch's facility in Rockford, Illinois.
Knox Machinery rebrands
After 28 successful years in business, Knox Machinery has announced it is rebranding and will operate under the new name of Knox Manufacturing Solutions to better reflect its expanded range of products and services.
Heule’s back spot facing tools displayed at IMTS
Heule Precision Tools will feature its BSF tooling for automated high-volume back spot facing applications in IMTS booth #431364.
AM Type Insert
The new AM Type insert is designed for non-ferrous metal machining, featuring a sharp cutting edge achieved through ground peripheral surface and polished rake face to a mirror-like finish. This design reduces built-up edge during machining and ensures a high-quality, glossy surface finish.
Jaw Forming Rings
Chuck-diameter-specific versions, and adjustable boring rings are available from 6-18-inches in diameter. Both styles feature no-tools attachment. Dillon jaw forming rings are a high-quality product which will ensure years of quick, stress-free set-ups when paired with Dillon jaws.
TC630 Supreme
Walter expanded the TC630 Supreme product range to include UNJC4 to UNJC9/16, UNJF4 to UNJF9/16 and MJ3 to MJ10 thread sizes. Optional internal coolant is available for thread sizes starting from MJ4, UNJF8 and UNJC8 to provide effective chip removal on deep threads.
EMG SORM
The system uses a confocal chromatic measurement principle, where different wavelengths of light focus at different distances, allowing for precise measurement of the strip's micro profile. This data is used to calculate key roughness parameters such as Ra (arithmetic average roughness), RPc (peak count), and Wsa (waviness).
Tiger 2.0 Cutting, Grinding and Combination Wheels
The INOX 2.0 wheels are designed for high performance when cutting and grinding high-value stainless steel parts. Premium aluminum oxide grains provide a smooth cut rate and consistent performance. Both Tiger Ceramic and Tiger INOX wheels are contaminant-free, so they are safe to use on high-value stainless steel parts.
AJ Type Inserts
The new Neutral AJ Type inserts for non-ferrous metals join this lineup. Like their right-hand counterparts, these new inserts feature ground peripheral surface and polished rake face with a mirror-like finish for sharp cutting edges. This prevents the built-up edges to the cutting edge during machining, and achieving a high-quality, glossy finish.
HQR 200/3 and HQR 250/3
Both machines have two spindles and three turrets – two upper and one lower – for unequaled DONE IN ONEÆ part processing opportunities and high-volume throughput in single setups. The drum-style turrets provide 12 or 16 tool positions and rotary tool capability.

3DViewStation
A model-based enterprise (MBE) leverages the benefits of MBD to optimize the entire internal and external supply chain. The 3D CAD model becomes the single source of information for all processes—not only in development and manufacturing but also in change management, production planning, assembly, quality assurance, technical documentation, spare parts management, and even customer and supplier communication.
