Drills

Cyclone drill (CXD series)

M.A. Ford Manufacturing Co. Inc.'s Cyclone drill (CXD series) has an enhanced doublemargin design. This improves location when drilling intersecting through-holes and imparts fine hole finishes, and the back margin location allows for quick engagement in the hole, according to the company.

PCD-Tipped Drills

Fives Cinetic has launched a line of CITCO/Gardner high-performance PCD-tipped drills, which are available in a diameter range from 1.5mm to 19mm. The drills, with a tungsten carbide body and solid PCD drill point, maintain both strength and accuracy when drilling composites and non-ferrous materials, according to the company. The tools' cutting edges stay sharp longer than conventional tools that tend to wear easily when machining tough, abrasive materials.

Feedmax Drills

Seco Tools has announced additions to its line of Feedmax solid-carbide drills that avoid delamination upon entry or exit when drilling in carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials.
