Picosecond Black, Corrosion-Resistant Marking

This black mark is generated using a picosecond laser. The ultrashort pulse durations of the picosecond laser allows it to impart energy to a material surface with almost no thermal effect. Unlike the heat-generated annealed marks made with fiber lasers, marks created by picosecond IR lasers are extremely high contrast periodic nanostructures with antireflective properties that make the marks appear deep black against their surroundings; they are restructured surface material rather than an oxide layer, making them highly resistant to bacterial growth, passivation, corrosion and autoclaving.

Inspection Manager Version 5.1

Inspection Manager is a comprehensive database-driven solution for manufacturing quality management throughout the production and supply chain process.  The centralized database contains manufacturing inspection plans, ballooned drawings, inspection results, First Article Inspection (FAI) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting and incorporates all quality requirements that enables accountability, traceability, and repeatability. The streamlined quality inspection process eliminates paper documents, prevents human interpretation errors, standardizes best practices, and increases efficiencies in collaboration and compliance on the shop floor.

Micro End Mills and Micro Milling/Drilling Chucks

The Micro End Mills feature a patented neck design with up to 10x diameter, enabling reach into deep contours. For optimal machining performance, a high radial bending strength withstands alternating stress on the cutting edge and relieved neck. The new Emuge end mills offer High Speed Cutting finishing of 2D and 3D contours, and are offered in square, ball nose, and torus end types. Featuring a short, stable cutting geometry, the end mills are available in Solid Carbide and CBN designs.

Winter AEON Electroplated Wheels

Norton Winter AEON Grinding Wheels have a single usable abrasive layer design, with diamond or cBN particles mechanically fixed onto the core surface by an electrochemical process of nickel deposition. This unique layer design provides high grit retention levels for long wheel life. To save costs, the wheel core can be re-used. Once the abrasive grains are worn, the core of the wheel can be re-plated with new diamond or cBN grain in a continuous re-plating cycle.

EM-30 Device

The EM-30 product series complies with e.MMC-5.1 specifications and is fully downward compatible. Thanks to established standards, integration is very easy. With a temperature range of -40 to +85°C, the product family is ideally suited for the most important embedded applications. With sequential data rates of up to 300 MB/s for read and 230 MB/s for write as well as 39 K IOPS and 41 K IOPS for read and write random access, EM-30 delivers the performance of SATA SSDs, but with significantly smaller size requirements and costs.
