Okuma adds two new industry experts

Okuma recently added Tom O'Toole (left) and Brian Sides as industry experts to support the company's sales and distribution.Okuma America Corp., Charlotte, N.C., recently added two industry experts to its Sales and Product Specialist Teams. With more than 50 years of combined experience in the CNC machine tool industry, Brian Sides and Tom O'Toole will be responsible for supporting regional sales teams and Okuma distribution partners.

Brian Sides, Sales Engineer, joined Okuma in 1992 as an electrical engineer designing controls systems for Okuma’s machine tools. He is one of the original designers of Okuma’s open architecture OSP-P control. He has held several positions at Okuma and for the last 10 years has served as the Director of Technology. He holds a bachelor of science in computer engineering from NC State.  He will support Okuma distribution partner Gosiger.

Tom O’Toole, Principal Sales Engineer, previously worked at Okuma from 1985 -2002 as an applications engineer. He is responsible for the business planning, sales and support of  double columns and other specialized large frame products such as the MU-10000H, MA-12500H, MILLAC 1000VH and the VTM/VTR models. He earned a bachelor of science from Berea College, Kentucky.
