Students at the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools in East Brunswick, N.J., recently earned some media attention for making a device that enables a disabled man to toss a ball from his wheelchair and play fetch with his service dog. Of course, the game is intended to give the man's service dog some much-needed exercise. The dog returns the ball to a tube that feeds it back into the machine. The project involved drilling, tapping and 3D printing gears.
