Machine tool builder Hwacheon Machinery America (HMA) will relocate to a new headquarters and technical center in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnshire, Ill., on July 15. Purchased and remodeled by Hwacheon, the building will provide larger quarters for training, a showroom for machine demonstrations, service engineering, spare parts stocking and applications engineering, said Michael Huggett, president. The facility will replace the company's current headquarters in Vernon Hills, Ill.

The company will host an official grand opening on Sept. 7, one day before IMTS 2014. This event will be attended by company officials, dealers and customers, as well as Hwacheon Machinery staff.

"We are very excited to move into new space purpose-designed to help us support our growing customer base here in the Americas," said Huggett. "It is ideally located to provide that support, from training through service and applications engineering." The company also purchased land adjacent to the tech center that can be used for future expansion.
