Toolmaker Mazak Corp., Florence, Ky., will host a free MTConnect lunch-and-learn event for manufacturers on Thurs., Nov. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Conn. Neil Desrosiers, Mazak applications engineer/developer and member of the MTConnect Technical Advisory Group, will present on how MTConnect exists to connect devices and systems from different suppliers to capture and share information in a common format. He will also highlight best practices for implementing the protocol in a manufacturing facility.

Additionally, attendees will experience the protocol at work in Mazak's North American Manufacturing Plant via a live-streaming demonstration.
