OSG's Train the Nation tour returns

OSG USA Inc.'s training tour, Train the Nation, is back for 2015 and 2016. The Glendale Heights, Ill.-based toolmaker will host an eight-discipline course covering the machining of 3D parts. Experts from OSG will introduce techniques that highlight programming, machining applications and cutting tools. The expanded list of training topics includes: 

  • Reliable 7-step process for high-speed machining  
  • New technology for deep-cavity machining and high-precision parts 
  • High-precision, high-accuracy machining 
  • 5-axis machining of a high-end taillight using the latest optics 
  • A head-to-head comparison of three different rib machining techniques 
  • Machining to extreme depths with long-reach tools on a die cast core 
  • Machining 2D platework with the best cycle time for fit and finish 

The first training session will take place April 7 in Cincinnati, with a total of 14 training seminars scheduled in various locations throughout 2015 and 2016.
