Takumi USA, a sister company of Hurco, will introduce the UA400 5-axis machining center in booth 338319 at the IMTS show Sept. 9-12.

Takumi USA is also bringing an H10 3-axis machining center equipped with the new PCCNC control. Takumi CNC machines are designed and built for high precision, durability, and rigidity.

H10

The H10
The Takumi H Series machining centers are designed to be dynamic and accurate to deliver high surface finish quality and consistent precision.

These machines provide high speed and accuracy thanks to their solid one-piece bed, column, and cross-rail design, high-response axial transmission system, low vibration, and excellent thermal controlled spindle. The H10 has XYZ travels of 40.16 x 27.56 x 19.69 in, a 15,000-rpm, direct drive, Big Plus, CAT 40 spindle, and 30-tool automation tool changer (ATC).

The H10 will be equipped with Takumi’s PCCNC control, using the Fanuc 0i-F Plus as the back-end controller, and running a Windows 10 PC i7 CPU front-end and interface. Highlights include:

  • 19” Touch Screen
  • Standard QWERTY Keyboard and Touchpad
  • LCD MPG/Handwheel
  • Intelligent Advanced Path Planning and Spindle Monitor
  • Digital Twin Solid-Rendering Part and Machine Graphical Simulation
  • User Prompt Setup Assist and Part/Tool Probing
  • AI Path Smoothing and Machine Condition Setting
  • Active Data Collection for Remote Machine Monitoring
Takumi UA400

UA400: A new addition to the Takumi USA lineup, the UA400 has XYZ travels of 24.8 x 24.8 x 20.1 inches, a +30/-110° A-axis trunnion, 360° C-axis, 400-mm table, high-speed, inline spindle, and 40-tool ATC. The Takumi UA400 5-axis machining center also boasts improved thermal compensation and outstanding surface finish.

  • centers

    centers

Cone-shaped pins that support a workpiece by one or two ends during machining. The centers fit into holes drilled in the workpiece ends. Centers that turn with the workpiece are called “live” centers; those that do not are called “dead” centers.

  • computer numerical control ( CNC)

    computer numerical control ( CNC)

Microprocessor-based controller dedicated to a machine tool that permits the creation or modification of parts. Programmed numerical control activates the machine’s servos and spindle drives and controls the various machining operations. See DNC, direct numerical control; NC, numerical control.

  • machining center

    machining center

CNC machine tool capable of drilling, reaming, tapping, milling and boring. Normally comes with an automatic toolchanger. See automatic toolchanger.
