Multisensor measurement systems can increase throughput while eliminating errors

The L.S. Starrett Co. has expanded the horizontal X-axis travel on its HB400 benchtop optical comparator from 12" to 16" (300mm to 400mm), providing users the versatility to measure larger parts on its workstage. Available with optical edge detection, the HB400 model is a workhorse of the broad line of Starrett comparators, providing performance levels previously only available with floor standing machines.

MC Machinery Systems Inc. announces that Mark Kauffman has joined the team as a regional sales representative for Southern California, Nevada and New Mexico. Kauffman will utilize his industry expertise to increase product sales and customer satisfaction.

Rocklin Manufacturing has launched the all new FlyMarker mini Station tabletop marking unit. The electromagnetic, 120-volt Station is the newest addition to the FlyMarker mini series, which includes five generations of portable, battery-operated marking units.

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division announced an update to its tube design, analysis and production platform TubeShaper. This new version delivers important new functionalities to customers in tube and pipe manufacturing, including inspection of rectangle-section tubes and new reporting functionality. TubeShaper v2 also offers an innovative new licensing concept that makes it more economical for multiple users to share measurement results and bending plans across different locations.

FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving has introduced another laser marker for line integration: The new FOBA Y.0200-S model is an upgrade to the existing range of fiber laser marking systems. The powerful marking laser is characterized by its compact design and gives manufacturers a high amount of marking and mounting versatility.

The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS), Weatherford, Texas, announced the launch of the industry's first Level-One and Level-Two Certifications for traditional coordinate measuring machine professionals. Applicants for the CMS Level-One Certification must submit an application, meet eligibility requirements, sign the CMS code of ethics, and pass a peer review. Candidates for the CMS Level-Two Certification must possess a Level-One Certification, have two years experience using a CMM (minimum 400 hours), and submit an application with two references who can confirm their hands-on expertise.

API Services' ISO 17025-accredited laser tracker calibration facilities provide OEM factory calibration of laser trackers at its Newport News, Virginia; Rockville, Maryland; and Plymouth, Michigan, facilities. In 2019, API calibrated more than 200 laser trackers. A special program of advanced scheduling minimizes tracker customer downtime and an optional laser tracker loaner program keeps customers measuring while the tracker is undergoing its annual calibration.
