The GrindSmart 630XW 6-axis tool grinding machine and ShapeSmart NP50 5-axis pinch/peel cylindrical grinding machine are suitable for use in the following fields: manufacturing parts for the weapons industry, rifle chamber manufacturing and reconditioning, cold forging in radial forging machines, and punches for ammunition tooling manufacturing.

The "lightest" machine in the FZP line is the new FZP32 with a working range of up to X = 10, Y = 4 and Z = 2.5 meters (393" x 157" x 98"). The user can machine block materials, plastics, as well as CFRP, GFRP and aluminum, among other materials. The Shop Tap pneumatic machine is a medium duty general purpose tapping machine. It provides variable mounting capabilities and has two different motor choices and a working area reach of 62 inches. It features a stationary bench, quick change tooling adapter and a vertical motor bracket.

The microARC 4 reduces both operator workload and cycle times with a high-quality, low-maintenance harmonic drive. The drive provides extremely precise motion control, coupled with much higher rapid speeds than a worm-drive unit.

With an installation of footprint of 25.3m2, the machine is the largest in SW's repertoire. It features a working rage of 3,000 x 1,800 x 875 mm on the X-, Y- and Z-axes respectively. On each of these axes, the HSK 63 spindle is able to reach a rapid traverse of 120 m/min, with a chip to chip time of 4-4.25s (depending on which optional features a customer selects). So not only is the machine capable of machining large structural components made of light metal material such as battery housings and car chassis bodies that are in such high demand in the industry – but it does so at speeds much faster than anything offered by the competition.
