With the special flute geometry, the chips (swarf) are evacuated effectively. This means that hole depths of up to 12 x Dc can be easily achieved. Oil or emulsion can both be used as a coolant with these drills. For deeper holes beyond 8 x Dc, Walter has also introduced a corresponding line of pilot micro drills, the DB131.

FH3125 is a new grade specifically developed to enhance the guide pad's wear resistance in machining various materials. The corners of both ends of the guide pad are designed to allow smooth entry into the guide bushing or pilot hole to control vibration impact and further decrease the risk of rupture.

The latest additions include inserts with 0.8 mm (.032″) nose radius in versatile AH725 grade. 0.8 mm nose radius will provide the cutting edge with strength, preventing edge fracture for predictable tool life. In addition, AH725 enhances the insert's wear resistance during machining of various materials, ensuring high precision and boosts productivity.

Ideal for CNC machining applications, the SJL provides the highest accuracy for thin-walled and deformation-sensitive workpieces. Unique to the SJL is the ability to be switched from a 2+2+2 lever equalizing chuck to classic 6-jaw self-centering chuck depending on application requirements.
