The new CoroMill 316 generation of exchangeable-head milling cutters from Sandvik Coromant further expands the company's established solid, round tools portfolio by bringing higher levels of versatility and productivity to machining operations in ISO P (steel) and ISO M (stainless steel) materials. Further benefits include high reliability in almost all applications along with enhanced tool life and a silent machining process.

LACH DIAMOND says its solution to combine the »Cool Injection« process, during which the cooling jet is guided by a PCD surface, and the chip controller »Plus« into one single tool proved to be ideal for manufacturing. Now it is possible to work with extremely high cutting speeds and feeds required for HSC machining.

LACH DIAMOND PCD milling cutters, with diameters from 0.6 to 450 mm (and with integrated dust extraction systems for larger diameters), scoring saws, saw blades, drills, step drills and other tools are now successfully established in the composite industry – CFRP, GRP, wood, and plastic machining - for more than 3 decades. Walter has announced the addition of the M4256, M4257 and M4258 high-performance helical milling cutters to its M4000 family. The M4000 program offers the advantages of a system insert concept that allows one insert style to be used in a variety of tools, permitting a wide array of milling operations.

NTK Cutting Tools offers a line of high-feed cutters (HFC) for milling aluminum. This series maximizes teeth/cutter, from seven teeth on the 50mm-dia. cutter to 22 teeth on a 125mm-dia. cutter, to reduce production time.

LACH DIAMOND introduces its newly developed PCD cartridge milling cutter »dia-blue-power«. A PCD monoblock milling cutter with brazed cutting edges, chip and shear angle and a large chip space created the basis for better performance and cost reductions in the automobile and composite industries, according to the company.

Cutting Solutions by CERATIZIT has introduced the MaxiMill 491 milling system, engineered for easier use, more parts per shift, faster changeovers and profiles of exactly 90°. The MaxiMill 491 system offers eight smooth-cutting edges per insert to provide significant increases in production and savings, the company said.

Walter has introduced the Walter BLAXX M3016, a heavy-duty milling cutter with the ruggedness and power needed to make heavy cuts seem easy. The M3016 tackles ISO material groups P, M and K, and difficult applications such as machining frames made from cast iron for large molds, or housings for wind energy rotor hubs.

Offering high productivity and a low cost per edge, the CoroMill 745 from Sandvik Coromant has a double-sided, multiedge design that is ideal for large batch productions. With its tilted insert positioning system and sharp cutting edges, this milling cutter offers a light cutting action at low power consumption.

Dormer Pramet has expanded its indexable offer for turning and milling applications.

The latest positive axial rake, high-feed cutter from Dormer Pramet allows it to be applied with multiple materials across various applications. The Pramet Penta HF is an aggressive high-feed cutter suitable for machining a variety of materials, including heat-treated and difficult-to-machine steels, stainless steels and heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA).

Walter has introduced a new version of its Walter Prototyp Proto▪maxST high-performance, solid-carbide milling tool designed for optimal performance on steel with secondary applications in stainless steel. This new entry in the Walter Prototyp lineup is called the Proto·maxST Z-5, available with the same tough yet wear-resistant TAZ coating that is offered in the original 3- and 4-flute variations of the Proto·maxST.
