Milling Cutters

The MC128 Advance boasts a wide diameter range of 1/4 -3/4 in. (2-25 mm) with a TiAIN coating for universal use. WJ30TF grade is available for ISO materials P, M, K, and S. The MC128 Advance is well suited for die and mold work as well as general metalworking.

When designing the new ELEMENT the developers did not just increase the performance of the machine but also went a step further: not only did they use the extensive engineering resources and experience of Messer Cutting Systems, to profit from their many years of successful machine development but also looked forwards to incorporate the latest technologies available now and predict future trends.

The Walter MD838 Supreme (conical version) has an effective radius of 250-1000 mm, a corner radius of 0.5 - 4.0 mm and is available in diameters of 6-16 mm. Walter also offers a version of this tool with ConeFit exchangeable head.

Enhancements to the Xtra·tec XT M5130 milling cutter, including a new clearance angle of 7° have added to this universal tool's existing benefits of high performance, high surface quality, exceptional reliability and safety, and outstanding versatility. The M5130 handles a wide array of machining operations including face, shoulder, ramping and pocket milling, as well as circular interpolation operations.

With an installation of footprint of 25.3m2, the machine is the largest in SW's repertoire. It features a working rage of 3,000 x 1,800 x 875 mm on the X-, Y- and Z-axes respectively.

The Xtra·tec XT M5012 is highly cost-effective thanks to inserts being offered in a fully ground configuration for maximum precision, or fully sintered configuration for maximum cost efficiency. The bodies are offered in either ScrewFit or shell mount and with two pitches for different applications.

Designed for applications including spotting and drilling, side milling, chamfering, slotting, grooving, and engraving, the new Carmex Multi-Function Milling Tool (MF) delivers economy and versatility, as well as superior cutting performance. Constructed of ultra-fine carbide grade for stability and wear resistance, the Multi-Function Milling Tool features a new generation of PVD coating for higher performance.

The M5137 Xtra·tec® XT boasts reduced process costs thanks to its Tiger·tec® coating and six cutting edges per indexable insert. This translates to simple tool selection and low cutting material costs​, and highly cost-effective operation due to low unit costs.

Extremely sharp cutting edges and low-friction rake surfaces eliminate concerns over built-up- edge. Low friction machining also produces superior surfaces in finishing operations, such as reaming. Surface roughness of Ra 0,1–0,8 μm (0.0025–0.02 μ-in) is achievable – far superior to conventional carbide tooling.

he HARVI I TE ball nose end mill is available in two different lengths, both with a diameter range from 2 to 20 mm (1/16" to 1"). The regular length is the first choice for 3D copy milling operations, while the long version offers sufficient length-of-cut (up to 4sD) for many applications, including shoulder milling when wall and floor finishing is required. n

The M2471 milling cutter, ideal for the aerospace and energy industries, boasts a high metal-removal rate even on low-performance machines thanks to its soft cutting geometries and positive cutting characteristics. It brings all the benefits of single-sided round inserts to double-sided round insert cutting.

The need for such dimensions is increasing that's why Mikron Tool has introduced a fractional inches diameter range for a large assortment of its drilling and milling cutter families. The selection is focused on materials such as stainless steel, titanium and superalloys. The range includes micro drills and micro mills of .016" and extends up to diameter .250".
