The locators are available in quarter-turn on/off knobs, adjustable handle, cam handle and hex head styles, and are supported with receivers, covers and adjustable torque wrench.

The Mega Double Power Chuck system features an expanded contact diameter of the nut to the flange, which provides the highest rigidity—as if the chuck and nut were one solid piece. This superior rigidity ensures heavy duty machining without chatter.

Standard on the #9684510 lathe are 3 and 4 jaw chucks, splash guards, chuck and tool post safety guards and inch and metric gears for threading. Like all Palmgren lathes, it is built and inspected to the DIN 8606 toolmakers precision lathe standard.

The lineup includes solid carbide grippers for high wear and high load applications. While the SofTop™ urethane grippers are available in a variety of durometers and are permanently bonded to a 300 series stainless steel pad. The non-marking, non-staining urethane provides excellent protection against damage on delicate work surfaces.

The PolyClamp Verso is equipped with a quick jaw change system as standard. Using just two screws, the fixed and adjustable jaws are released, removed upwards or repositioned. This significantly reduces setup times because each jaw is individually removable without having to dismantle the others.

To avoid interference with workpiece contours, the lengths of DirectCooling Series holders are ideally matched to one another and offer optimal stability and unlimited flexibility. This flexibility is further enhanced with an HSK-T universal standard interface for turning tools that ensures straightforward connection to multifunction machines such as turning/milling centers and milling/turning centers.

The clamps provide quick, secure, and precise workpiece workholding and are manufactured to the highest quality specifications. The product mix includes many clamp accessories such as mounting brackets, adaptors, bars and caps. In both mini and heavy-duty styles, the various clamp configurations provide clamping forces from as little as 2 lb. on a toggle switch to as much as 9,000 lb. on a side clamp and come with a variety of handle materials from steel to plastic.

SP140 and K02 are part of the vast ZPS offering which uses either pneumatic or hydraulic modules to fix, position, and clamp all in one step. Additionally, ZPS ensures repeatability of up to 0.0002", and reduces cycle times by up to 90%. Users quickly and accurately locate and clamp vises or fixtures, or if preferred, attach retention studs to workpieces and then direct mount components for machining or welding, avoiding potential interference from jaws or clamps.

Working on 5 axes allows the use of shorter tools to increase the feeds and the cutting speed. With a machine equipped with this technology, it is easier to carry out complex operations with 5-side access to the part including: complete profiling, the undercut working, the through holes, and the creation of pockets.

The sliding locks are particularly ideal for clamping in tight areas with non-swiveling handles. The body is made from nickel-plated 1045 steel. The handle is made from nickel-plated 4140 alloy steel, quenched and tempered. The push bar is made from 1045 steel.
