Onyx DLC (ta-C) coatings from Scientific Cutting Tools (SCT) are now available across several solid carbide thread mill product lines, including UN and metric single-profile thread mills, straight flute thread mills, and 15° helical thread mills. According to the company, the coating provides an ultra-low friction surface and high hardness that help reduce adhesion and wear when machining aluminum and other non-ferrous materials.

Bio-SynXtra metalworking oils from Renewable Lubricants are designed for heavy-duty machining applications including stamping, drawing, milling, drilling, turning, grinding, honing, broaching, thread cutting, tapping, and other applications in hard materials like stainless steel, Inconel, and Hastelloy. The biosynthetic blend is transparent to allow visibility during cutting operations.

ISCAR is expanding its offerings with the addition of the new EC-H5M-CF line. The endmills, designed primarily for machining stainless steel and carbon steel, are now available without neck relief and feature a wide variety of new corner radii for diameters of 10mm and up.

ISCAR is introducing a new PVD-coated carbide grade that is intended for indexable milling cast iron (ISO K group of application). The grade, designated as IC1011, is designed for machining cast iron (ISCAR material groups 15-20), primarily nodular cast iron (ISCAR material groups 17-18), in demanding conditions such as heavy-duty applications, unstable cutting, and other challenging scenarios.
