Northern Engineering and Manufacturing (NEMI) has released a vacuum chuck compatible with both horizontal and vertical machining centers. This fixture can used either with the Kurt 4-face cage or on a machine bed and is completely compatible with all of NEMI’s standard vacuum fixturing.
With this chuck, it is possible for machinists to quickly and easily change out vacuum fixture plates, sub-plates, vises and to alternate between vacuum and non-vacuum applications. The vacuum chuck comes standard with Kurt PinLocks for fast, easy and precise locating. This chuck was developed for shops that use a variety of workholding solutions and is ideal for quick, accurate change-outs.
