Tiger·tec Gold PVD Grade
This grade is now capable of longer tool life, greater reliability, and approximately 30 percent greater performance in stainless steels (ISO M) and heat-resistant super alloys (ISO S), and up to 75 percent greater performance in steels (ISO P) than comparable grades. With the launch phase now complete, the PVD grade WSP45G Tiger·tec® Gold can be used universally in all standard Walter milling cutters.
Analyzing and optimizing cleaning processes
Cleaning processes often offer considerable potential for improvement when it comes to making parts cleaning operations more reliable, economical and sustainable. The first step is to carry out a systematic process analysis that also takes a close look at upstream and downstream production steps.
Medical manufacturer proves business case for robotic gauging
New Scale Robotics released a new case study video with Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, a medical contractor manufacturer in Bridgeport, Mich.
droPWR
Bluetooth technology along with an IBT interface box in the droPWR system allows connection to multiple machine configurations in one tablet including for milling, turning, and grinding machines with up to six axes. Designed to be simple and functional, this tablet DRO can be moved and used with various machines, making it perfect for many production environments such as small shops and students in shop class.
Turn-Assist 200i and 270i
Turn-Assist features an open-floor setup and area sensors to maximize operator safety and accessibility, while a pre-programmable FANUC robot loads blanks and unloads finished parts from the stocking table. Options are available that allows the robot to process shafts, rotate parts, and interface with a bar-feeder.
Collet for Internal Clamping
Users can machine this collet attachment to adapt it to match the internal contour of the workpiece they are clamping. However, what makes this new exhibit from AMF so special is that no through holes are needed in the workpiece to achieve safe internal clamping. With mechanical lateral actuation, workpieces with a blind hole can also be clamped securely and without distortion.
Plan360 Software
With IMCO Software's Plan360 software, manufacturers can integrate a variety of data sources and use combinations of data points to create an unlimited number of planning horizons. The PLan360 Software also provides a Best Fit model among 20 predicted models simplifying the analysis and removing the opportunity for human error.
Dot Peen Marking Combo Model
The unit control of the Connect.series range, with its compact size, has a large 10'' touch screen in tempered glass and pairs in just a few seconds to the marking head thanks to the RFID technology. It can connect to the network and exchange data with the information system (ERP, MES). Its intuitive software developped by Technomark make marking possible within 3 clicks.
Press hardening reaches a new level
AP&T, a provider of high-performing production solutions for the sheet metal forming industry, has developed a press-hardening production solution that it says lays the groundwork for providing car manufacturers with lighter, safer, more flexible designs that are cost and energy efficient.
CAMculator
With Solidline CAMculator, companies can reduce calculation time and calculate costing of components based on the actual NC code of a part. Because it uses data from the CAM model, companies can achieve repeat accuracy and company-wide consistency.
FixRMill
FixRMill uses round inserts for machining dies and molds, especially complex male-female main parts such as cavities and projections. The round inserts feature anti-rotation notches on the insert clearance side and matching locations on the pocket seats. These notches not only prevent the insert from rotating under heavy load but also help the operator to get a true, distinct index every time he/she goes for a new edge, allowing all of the insert to be utilized.
ANCA to unveil machines that produce high-accuracy cutting tools
Cutting tools are essential components across many industries, and as these industries expand their own product range and complexity, manufacturers increasingly demand high-quality cutting tools that meet unique requirements. For cutting tool manufacturers, deciding what technology to invest in should be driven by business goals, and at IMTS, ANCA will present the grinding technology that it says demonstrates the advantages of investing in a technologically advanced future.
