SCANtek 5 Coordinate Measuring Machine
LK Metrology Inc. has introduced a new ALTERA coordinate measuring machine called the SCANtek 5, which is coupled with Renishaw's REVO-2 scanning system and multiple-sensor technology to offer manufacturers a 5-axis solution for inspecting dimensional accuracy and surface finish of components.
µCMM Optical Coordinate Measuring System
So far, geometries such as the bore holes of injection valves in the automotive industry, for example, could hardly be measured optically. Lateral probing of components with vertical surfaces was limited to tactile measuring systems, CT solutions or complex special solutions. This changes with a new function of the optical coordinate measuring system µCMM from Bruker Alicona.
6DoF vProbe
API has introduced its 6DoF vProbe, a hand-held tactile probing system, for use with its portable RADIAN Pro and Plus Laser Tracker range, extending their dimensional measurements capabilities to perform part inspections conventionally performed by large fixed coordinate measuring machines.
CappsNC Software

Coordinate Measurement Robot
Metrologic Group says its first-of-its-kind Coordinate Measurement Robot (CMR) offers CMM accuracy to robotic inspection beside the production line, with no associated tracking devices. This off-the-shelf solution, jointly developed with robotics manufacturer Stäubli, combines a Stäubli mechanical robot (6-axis TX60, TX90 or TX200 series robots) and state-of-the-art robot-dedicated 3D measurement software suite, Metrolog X4 i-Robot and Silma X4 i-Robot.
