The latest release of the Radan sheet-metal solution, by Vero Software, includes new functionality giving users a greater degree of manual control where flexibility is required for certain aspects of their individual production processes.

For years the flexible, ball-style hone has dominated the market for applications that require honing of cylindrical metal surfaces, such as engine piston bores and drilled through-holes. Now the tool, in a slightly different configuration but with the same filaments and abrasive globules, is increasingly being utilized on 2D, or planar, surfaces.

To improve coverage for all tasks in the fields of automation, visualization and communication, the popular C60xx series of ultracompact Beckhoff Industrial PCs has been expanded with the addition of the new C6017. This latest addition to the Beckhoff Industrial PC (IPC) portfolio combines compact design and installation flexibility with an increased variety of interfaces and an integrated UPS.

Marposs Corp. has expanded its MIDA VTS visual tool setter family with the addition of the VTS WF45 and WF85 wide field versions suited for noncontact measuring and verifying “double-sided”, large-diameter tools. Relying upon LED technology, the wide field versions can perform both profile and surface integrity inspection of the entire tool front to back, identifying any minor faults in the work tool that could affect workpiece integrity. Typical applications include CNC machines, especially milling machines where tools are heavily subjected to wear and dimensions need to be continually checked.

The Junker Group has extended its range of grinding machines: With its new Zema corundum line, the company offers efficient solutions for conventional grinding. Versatile, robust, durable – Junker corundum grinding machines fulfill the requirements of series production for a wide range of different workpieces. The CNC grinding machines grind elements such as flanges and journals on crankshafts, as well as gear, turbocharger and cardan shafts or spray nozzles. In total, the corundum line comprises three models, each of which has different focal points.

Mitee-Bite Products has just completed a new Kit for the TITANS of CNC Academy, helping to educate in the Art of Fixturing Series. In the kit, students will receive multiple Mitee-Bite clamps, pins and grips to build Titan’s Project Series #400-404 fixtures.
