Machining (CNC)

Kellenberger 100 and Kellenberger 1000 Universal CNC Grinding Machines

Hardinge Inc. introduces the new Kellenberger 100 (pictured) and Kellenberger 1000 Universal CNC grinding systems. These innovative systems improve the precision and productivity for the most demanding range of machining applications. The updated functional and user friendly design elements on both of these systems allow you to have the control and performance you require.

CappsNC Software

To perform the complex mathematical calculations required for metrology based real-time adaptive control of CNC machining processes, powerful coordinate measuring machine (CMM) software needs to be directly integrated within the manufacturing system. CappsNC, from Applied Automation Software Inc., an adaptation of CappsDMIS CMM software, has been developed to program any machining center to perform advanced measurement, metrology and GD&T calculations using the standard DMIS language. Powerful offline programming, with automatic collision avoidance and 5-axis path generation, allows programming of all machine configurations including multiple-axis mill-turn machines.

LinX M-series Linear Motor

ANCA Motion designs and manufactures flexible control systems, specializing in high-precision solutions for CNC machines. Unique to ANCA Motion is the LinX M-series linear motor, which is housed within a slim body. The motor is highly energy efficient and delivers precision CNC applications or high-speed automation systems every time.

Punch Tap Tool

Emuge Corp. has introduced its patented Punch Tap Line in North America. The Emuge Punch Tap is for helical thread forming in cast and wrought aluminum alloys and similar lightweight materials. Emuge Punch Taps provide a new, shortened tool path process for producing internal threads in under half a second, resulting in significantly less energy consumption during the machining process and a reduction in threading time by 75 percent compared to cold forming and conventional tapping.
