SMTCL has announced the development of a new horizontal turning center, the EHC125300. This machine reportedly demonstrates SMTCL’s commitment to United States’ job shop customers by allowing them to get a large high-quality machine tool at a cost-effective price.

SPRING Technologies has enhanced the optimization capabilities of its flagship NCSIMUL package. The improvements are contained in the NCSIMUL OPTITOOL module of NCSIMUL MACHINE, SPRING Technologies’ CNC machine verification software for simulating, verifying, optimizing and reviewing machining programs.

The T8 Hybrid 9-axis twin-spindle mill/turn center from Quicktech combines a 3-axis power turret and a 360˚ B-axis with a sub-spindle that features a 4-axis gang slide to enable complete machining of complex parts with a capacity of 38 tools. Quicktech machines are distributed in North America exclusively by Absolute Machine Tools Inc.

Marposs has announced the availability of its new standalone ARTIS VM-02, featuring a MEMS or 3-axis piezoelectric monitoring sensor that measures in-process machine tool acceleration values (g), helping to minimize damages after a dynamic crash. Part of the Genior Modular machine monitoring system family, the VM-02 is a low-cost, upgradeable solution with an ultrafast reaction time of <1 millisecond.
