Threads-all ZGF-S-Cut Solid-Carbide Thread Mills

Emuge Corp. has introduced advanced Threads-all ZGF-S-Cut solid-carbide thread mills featuring multiple teeth, a helical flute form and multiple-layer TiAlN T46 coating. The new ZGF-S-Cut thread mills increase tool life over 10 times more than conventional tools and produce precise threads in exotic materials including Inconels, nickel-based superalloys, monel, titanium, 420 stainless steel and more.

Indexable Small-diameter High Feed Milling Cutters

TungForce-Feed, indexable small diameter high feed milling cutters with diameters ranging from ø0.375″ – ø0.625″, allows depths of cut up to 0.02″. The new cutter ensures high productivity and economy in profiling die/mold parts over conventional solid end mills and similar indexable tools. The inserts large positive rake and inclination angle geometry, combined with closer-pitched cutter bodies, allows it to be used in a broader application range, while ensuring high machining efficiency.

Xtra·tec XT - Performance extends your perspective

Walter has introduced its next generation of milling tools: the Xtra·tec® XT (XT stands for "Xtended Technology"). Designed to achieve increased productivity and process reliability, this new generation of milling cutters is being launched with initial offerings of shoulder milling cutters and a face milling cutter. The mills cover virtually all requirements in shoulder and slot milling for all common material groups.

Dictator II MILLHOG Pipe Beveler

A new pipe beveling tool with an operating range from 4.5” ID to 24” OD that requires only one mandrel and 10 clamps for the entire range of the tool has been introduced by Esco Tool. The Dictator II MILLHOG Pipe Beveler uses one mandrel and a set of three wide clamps that provide six points of contact on the pipe ID, resulting in rigid mounting and chatter-free beveling for a given pipe size range.

VLC 200 GT Turning and Grinding Center

It is no secret that e-mobility is a growing market. A current study by the consulting firm Strategy Analytics, predicts the production output of “electric vehicles” will increase to 25% of the global market by 2025. It should be noted that the study uses “electric” as an umbrella term that covers all aspects of e-mobility, i.e. hybrids, fuel cell drives, and pure electric vehicles, and that the markets are highly heterogeneous. It is expected that 50% of the production will take place in China, and the other 50% will be throughout the rest of the world.

Drilling Versatility with the DRV Magic Drill

What do you do when you have a 0.688" diameter drill and you need a 0.697" diameter hole? This sort of question is common in shops that have a limited selection of cutting tools. Kyocera's DRV Magic Drill series can accomplish a radial offset to drill larger than the existing tool. The 0.697" hole shown was drilled in 1018 steel with a S100-DRV0688-5-05.  Inserts were SCMT060205XMECA520D and SCMT060210XMIPR1535. Speeds and feeds used were 390 SFM, F.0016 IPR. The surface finish is very good due to excellent chip evacuation.
