VpCI-148 Paper also presents positive environmental aspects and a worker friendly profile. As paper, it is sourced from renewable materials, whereas common VCI plastics are sourced from fossil fuels. Furthermore, it uses a water-based coating for grease resistance, rather than the wax or poly coatings typically used for barrier papers. VpCI-148 Paper is non-hazardous and free of fluorochemicals, nitrites, phosphates, silicones, chromates, and other heavy metals.

This revolutionary machine-grade stretch wrap combines commercially compostable resins with V apor phase Corrosion Inhibitor Technology (VpCI®) for corrosion protection of multiple metal types, including aluminum, galvanized steel, carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, and cast iron. EcoStretch meets the ASTM D6400 standard for commercial composting* and may avoid tariffs, fines, and tip fees in areas where polyethylene is prohibited or restricted. It is perfect for stretch-wrapping metal equipment or components that need to be kept rust-free while minimizing the environmental impact of traditional plastic packaging.

The 5074B also comes with two features that deliver major operational improvements. The new amplifier is ready to operate within around six seconds, as compared to the previous time of 30 seconds for each startup procedure – so users save valuable time. This improvement has a direct impact on plant availability, especially for modular plants with swappable hot-plug modules. Another innovation: the two energy paths in the M8 connectors are now separated so that additional standard devices can be connected as per the industry standard without extra considerations. 

The paper offers effective protection to ferrous and nonferrous metals, eliminating the need to stock a variety of papers for different metal types. All that is needed is to wrap items in the paper and fold the edges together, using adhesive tape as needed to hold paper in place. The VpCI® coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces within the package to provide complete corrosion protection with a very thin, very effective VpCI® layer that does not alter product appearance or require removal before further finishing or use. Effective protection is available on both sides of the paper to eliminate packaging guesswork.

CorrTube® is environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and doesn’t contain any nitrites, phosphates, silicates, or other hazardous compounds. The tubes are very easy to use: simply match the appropriate diameter of the tube to the size of your part. The VpCI® coating on the inside of the tube vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces to provide complete corrosion protection.

Cortec Corp. announces that its popular and convenient Cor-Pak 1-MUL Pouches are available in 8- MUL format for eight times the corrosion protection volume previously offered. Cor-Pak 8-MUL Pouches work exactly the same as Cor-Pak 1-MUL, but instead of only protecting one cubic foot (28 L) of space, the Cor-Pak 8-MUL offers enough corrosion protection for ferrous or nonferrous metals packaged or stored in up to 8 cubic feet (0.23 m³) of enclosed space.
