No. 1002 is an electrically heated, 500º F (~260º C) cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for various test procedures in the customer’s laboratory. Work space dimensions measure 20”W x 20”D x 20”H. 8KW are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements to heat the unit, while a 400-cfm, 1/3-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the load.

InterCoat ChemGuard uses a new type of coating technology that incorporates covalent bonds and enhances the effectiveness of zinc and substantially improves corrosion protection on galvanized steel.

No. 994 is a 500° F (260° C) special cabinet oven from Grieve, currently used for heating the end of long parts at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven are a tapered 10” at front and 20” at rear wide x 20” deep x 21” high.

No. 865 is a 750° F (399° C), three-zone conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used for curing coatings at the customer’s test facility. Work space dimensions of this oven measure 30” W x 18’ D x 15” H. 90KW (30KW per zone) are installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements, while three 1,500-cfm, 1.5-hp recirculating blowers provide vertical downward airflow to the workload.

Lucifer Furnaces Inc. received an order for an electric ceramic fiber-lined box furnace from a leading U.S. stamping manufacturer of automotive products. Model LI7-M18, with a chamber size of 12” W x 18” L x 18” H, quickly heats to a uniform 2,200° F.

No. 843 is an 850°F (454°C), gas-heated cabinet oven from Grieve is used for curing paint on steel and aluminum test coupons at a customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 20” W x 20” D x 20” H.

Carr Lane Mfg. Co. offers a new LIFE-EX PVD coating as an option on its round and diamond pins. So hard it cannot be measured on the Rockwell C scale, LIFE-EX is a thin film of vaporized solid metal that has been deposited onto Carr Lane’s round and diamond pins as a pure metal or alloy coating.

No. 844 is a 500°F (260°C), top-loading oven from Grieve, currently used for drying water from racks of piston rings at the customer’s facility. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 48” W x 48” L x 36” D.

Nanodiamond material specialist Carbodeon of Finland has worked with metal finishing specialist CCT Plating of Germany to develop a new electroless nickel, PTFE and nanodiamond composite coating. Electroless nickel-PTFE (EN-PTFE) coatings provide excellent anti-adhesive and low friction properties but are traditionally soft and wear quickly in abrasive conditions. By adding NanoDiamond particles to the EN-PTFE coating, Carbodeon has been able to improve the abrasive wear resistance of these coatings without compromising the sliding or release properties.
