Air Rest Buttons allow using pneumatic position control to detect proper workpiece loading in a machining fixture. Made in USA, these modular units consist of a threaded body installed in a fixture, which holds a precision floating plunger.

JW Winco Inc. announced the introduction of steel and stainless steel locking toggle clamps. The RoHS-compliant GN 820.3 horizontal acting toggle clamps, with a horizontal mounting base and safety hook latch, have a safety function whereby, during closing, a spring-loaded safety hook latch ensures a secure locking connection. This prevents the inadvertent unlocking of the clamp due to vibrations or an accidental attempt of loosening/opening the clamp.

The Hoffmann Group has introduced a new module for its GARANT Xpent 5-axis vice to the market. This new center jaw, which can be optionally fitted to the base rail, has now made it possible to clamp two workpieces with just one vice, and to process these in a single operation.

WDS Component Parts Ltd. has extended its range of detent pins, including new type of grips so that customers can choose a style on aesthetic or ergonomic grounds. Detent pins are a quick and easy way to locate and secure parts in place. In use they are manually pushed into place to hold the parts and lock themselves into position by way of a pair of spring loaded ball bearings at the leading end. However, the pin can be removed with a sharp tug.

SCHUNK has introduced several improvements on the original PGN-Plus and has announced the newest generation gripper, PGN-Plus-P. Enlarged supporting dimensions between the six load-bearing shoulders of the multiple-tooth guidance allow higher moment capacity, which can accommodated longer fingers and greater loads.
