LMC Workholding expands to 100 years

LMC Workholding, which opened for business as the Logansport Machine Company, Logansport, Ind., in 1916, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year by highlighting the company's continuing expansion. "We’ve been the name to know in workholding since 1916, and we’re expanding and growing to continue to meet the demand of our customers and the industry," said LMC Workholding President and CEO Jay Duerr in a recent company news release. "We’re proud to have made it to 100 years in business and we’re looking forward to serving our customers for many more years."       

Swivel Hoist Rings

New swivel hoist rings from Carr Lane Manufacturing have an optional electroless nickel plating that is ideal for many corrosive and outdoor environments. Carr Lane offers over 20 different types of pivoting, swivel, and side-pull hoist rings, from economical, low-profile versions to load capacities up to 250,000 lbs.

TT-180 Ransobotic Washer

Ransohoff has introduced its TT-180 Ransobotic Washer, a robotic parts washing unit that brings speed, precision and efficiency to precision parts washing operations. The TT-180 features robot-operated spray nozzles, precision worktable and powerful controls and programmability to deliver cycle times of as little as 30 seconds to reduce operating costs for even complex parts as large as 12” square and weighing up to 40 lbs.

pL LEHMANN swissClamp modular system

Exsys Tool Inc., which is the exclusive supplier of pL LEHMANN rotary tables for North America, recently announced the expansion of its ultra-high precision products to include the pL LEHMANN swissClamp modular clamping system, according to the San Antonio, Fla.-based company. The modular clamping system reportedly allows operators to mount multiple workpieces on machine tool tables for uninterrupted production and unmanned operations.

CleverClamp System

The basic rails of the CleverClamp system are calibrated to fit the EROWA UPC and EROWA MTS production tooling systems. The range of clamping elements can be quickly positioned on the serrated base rails and be used either horizontally or vertically.

CNC Expanding Mandrels

According to Royal Products, ID gripping is often overlooked as a workholding option, yet in many situations it is the best choice. For example, it allows for access to the entire length of the workpiece so all external surfaces can be turned in a single operation, ensuring perfect concentricity.

SideWinder Vertical Vise

The Kurt SideWinder vise provides vertical workholding without interfering with an existing host vise or the spindle. SideWinder vise expands the capabilities of 6 or 8 inch vises by adding vertical clamping above and behind the host vise and provides easy spindle access for secondary or final machining operations.

GN 854 Latch Clamps

J.W. Winco Inc., New Berlin, Wis., recently announced the availability of GN 854 Latch Clamps with Trigger Function in metric sizes. The RoHS-compliant latch clamps are said to feature a highly robust, sturdy and compact design that enables their use under demanding conditions, according to a Feb. 17 news release from J.W. Winco.
