Absolute Machine Tools Inc. partners with Sussex Tool & Supply Inc.

Absolute Machine Tools Inc.[LORAIN, OH]  Absolute Machine Tools has established a partnership with Sussex Tool & Supply. Sussex is a full-range distributor of industrial tooling, abrasives, hand and power tools, workholding, and machine and building maintenance materials. The company’s Hightech Machinery division specializes in CNC machines and robotic equipment, and its Alpha Gage division is an accredited gage calibration and repair company.

Sussex Tool & Supply has locations in Sussex and Madison, Wisconsin and Rockford, Illinois. With the partnership, Absolute is relocating its Elgin, Illinois, operation to Rockford to better serve customers in both states.

Further, Absolute Machine Tools also is expanding its service and engineering departments to enhance its ability to provide engineered manufacturing solutions. A key addition is a new robotic solutions department that focuses on helping customers implement automation and robotics for tasks such as machine tending and visual part inspection. The goal is to eliminate problems resulting from workforce and skilled labor shortages and enable customers to run lights out, three shifts, 24/7.

Absolute Machine Tools founder and president Steve Ortner said, “This partnership with Sussex Tool & Supply provides Absolute both technical and geographic advantages in terms of a wide-ranging product offering as well as proximity to customers in Wisconsin and Illinois.”
