GM plans 'positive' manufacturing announcement at Bay City plant

General Motors officials are expected to make a "positive plant manufacturing announcement" at the Bay City Powertrain factory this week.

The automaker issued an invitation to media for an 11 a.m. event Wednesday, April 27, where GM officials are also going to present $20,000 in grants to support four area nonprofit organizations in Bay County.

GM officials won't comment on the nature of the manufacturing announcement, outside of calling it "positive."
