Michigan Manufacturing International (MMI) was founded in 1991 in Michigan by Jacob Prak. A number of moves were necessary as the operation outgrew each location, but the name remained the same. In November 2013, MMI built a 40,000 square foot building in Stevensville, Md., and currently occupies 12,000 square feet of that space.
Originally, MMI served customers in Michigan and Ohio. Later the service area extended to Pennsylvania and Maryland. Currently MMI has customers across the nation with an additional manufacturing facility in India. While originally offering only components, the company now concentrates on assemblies and whole products that solve its customers’ design and supply challenges.
“The market for manufactured goods is changing drastically," Prak said of the future of MMI. "We plan to grow by continuing to build our knowledge concerning the best options for supply chain management and providing the best high-quality products and services to our customers.”
