Kennametal Extrude Hone, Irwin, Pa., and Hydro, Chicago,  have entered into a strategic alliance to provide pump customers in the power generation industry with one global service and support unit. The primary benefits for customers include improved efficiency and performance, longer service intervals and engineered upgrade options, according to the companies.

Hardinge Inc., a leading international provider of advanced metalcutting solutions, recently introduced Meghan Tranchina as the company's new West Coast Regional Sales Manager for the Turning & Milling Group. Walter has signed an agreement to acquire the U.S.-based GWS Tool Group, a manufacturer of solid carbide endmills and drills as well as HSS taps and PCD products. GWS is focused on highly engineered customized cutting tools for the American market.
