The primary benefits for customers include improved efficiency and performance, longer service intervals and engineered upgrade options, according to the companies.

Meghan Tranchina named new West Coast regional sales manager for the Turning & Milling Group.
Hardinge Inc., a leading international provider of advanced metalcutting solutions, recently introduced Meghan Tranchina as the company's new West Coast Regional Sales Manager for the Turning & Milling Group. Tranchina began her career with HS&S Machine Tools and Metrology, and most recently held the position of sales engineer covering Northern California and Nevada for Methods Machine Tools.
Walter acquires GWS Tool Group
Walter has signed an agreement to acquire the U.S.-based GWS Tool Group, a manufacturer of solid carbide endmills and drills as well as HSS taps and PCD products. GWS is focused on highly engineered customized cutting tools for the American market.
