Engis Corp.'s Electrogrip electroplated diamond dressing blocks turn a standard grinder with reciprocating table, such as a surface, tool and cutter or optical form grinder, into an automatic form grinder when combined with power down-feed. The blocks dress specific forms into aluminum-oxide and silicon-carbide grinding wheels quickly and accurately, according to the company. They can be held magnetically or mechanically on a machine table or mounted within a part holding fixture.
