The NSA plus module for the VEROS quick change pallet system from Schunk Inc. reportedly ensures maximum precision for automated machine loading. The extra low installation height means plenty of space is left in the machine room while the robust design guarantees a secure hold, even at rough machining.
The VERO-S NSA plus palletizing module achieves pull-in forces of up to 20,000 N. The holding forces are higher than 100,000 N. Even in the case of demanding volume cutting, the extreme shear forces are reliably absorbed without having to change the workpiece position. If needed, it can be directly integrated in the machine table, which means greater dependability and process reliability.
To prevent the access of chips and dirt into the automatic changing process, a forced air flow cleans the faces during pallet change, and ensures a chip-free contact face of the pallet. The centering rings then ensure precise positioning, and clamping slides for a form-fit, self-locking fixing, making the repeat accuracy amounts to less than 0.005mm. A system monitors the dynamic pressure of every process step: module open, module closed, and presence of the pallet. For pick up purposes, the pins lift the pallet and simplify the pallet change.
