K-Column

September 01, 2010

EB Manufacturing Co. is introducing the "K-Column" modular clamping and machining system for use on horizontal machining centers. The 400mm design has a capacity to hold raw blank material up to 3.5" wide x 14.5" high, which affords multiple or single part machining on the pallet center. This system utilizes raw material as the actual workholding, allowing for five-sided part machining and eliminating the need to purchase sized blanks. Material costs, set-up times and cycle times, as well as programming times, are therefore greatly reduced. In addition, the reportedly money saving "K-Column" is available in 300mm, 500mm and 600mm pallet sizes.
