C.R.Onsrud introduces its 5-axis Compact High Rail tailored to the more demanding higher load and larger work volume requirements of the aerospace, automotive, medical and defense industries. Options include retractable roof for easy material loading, large capacity toolchangers and multiple spindle configurations to meet varying machining needs.

C.R.Onsrud offers these machines in two standard configurations. F148CH is X = 84 inches, Y=144 inches, Z=53 inches, overall length 200 inches, overall width 322 inches, overall height 177 inches. The larger model, F148CH W10 is X=120 inches, Y=144 inches, Z=53 inches, overall length 236 inches, overall width 322 inches, overall height 177 inches Custom sizes can be made available.
C.R.Onsrud Compact High Rail series features 15-HP, 24,000-RPM spindles (with 24 HP and 33 HP options); control FANUC 31i or Osai Open; tool management is a 15-position rack (with optional larger capacity tool chains); material clamping by vacuum hold down (with optional fixture plate or T-slot tables); chip handling by chip pan (with optional chip conveyor); other options are inkjet part marking, auto tool measurement, robotics integration, continuous C-axis, and linear scale feedback.
