Versatility and simplicity are the SiS’s key features.  A range of part presenters provide secure mounting for practically any size, shape or weight. Complicated fixturing is not required as in older inspection methods. And since the SiS is an integrated unit capable of multitasking both the scan and analyzes phases, the inspection process is as simple as placing a part in the gripper, selecting the routine appropriate for the part from a touchscreen menu and watching the SiS "supercomputer" generate a complete inspection report. Since scans exist “out in space,” there’s no need for a time-consuming orientation or alignment process.
